City and Islington Sixth Form College is based at the Angel, Islington and is the College’s academic Centre for 16-18 age group students with approximately 1,600 students following A-level (AL) programmes. With 30 years’ experience of successfully offering AL provision to students from all over London, our pass rates are consistently above the national average and the Sixth Form College is regularly over-subscribed.

About the role:

We are looking for an outstanding teacher with high expectations of students to teach A-level in Media Studies at our Sixth Form Centre. If you are enthusiastic, innovative, care about students and want to work in a supportive and friendly environment this may be the job for you. You will take part in departmental meetings, Monitor students’ progress using pro-monitor and contribute to the evaluation of results in the Media Studies subject area.

About you:

You will have an appropriate academic and teaching qualification including a PGCE with recent experience of teaching Media Studies at A Level. You will have experience working with 16-19 year olds and an understanding of the curriculum and pastoral needs. Also have a strong knowledge and awareness of current curriculum developments in relation to Media Studies.
