St Thomas More Catholic School is looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic individual to teach Languages. Candidates will be able to work as part of a dedicated team in this forward-looking department and it is essential that candidates have the ability and commitment to encourage students. Candidates must possess the subject knowledge and creativity to encourage learning for a wide range of young people, whilst also offering students tasks which challenge and inspire them. 

St Thomas More Catholic School is a highly successful and high performing 11-18 Catholic comprehensive school on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne with 1506 pupils on roll, 314 in the sixth form. It is a Teaching School and was described as an “outstanding school” in its October 2013 OFSTED inspection. In summer 2017, 75% of Year 11 students attained Grades 9 to 4 in Mathematics, and 80% achieved Grades 9 to 4 in English. In Year 13, 120 pupils completed a wide variety of qualifications. All of whom have secured places at either university, in employment, or with an apprenticeship.
