We are looking to appoint an inspiring and outstanding classroom practitioner to join our MFL team here at Myton; we are looking for someone who is ambitious and able to share their enthusiasm and passion for Modern Foreign Languages with all their students and colleagues.

As a Spanish specialist, your key role will be to teach Spanish to Key Stage 3 and 4. The ability to teach Spanish up to KS5 and/or an additional language (preferably French or German) is desirable. This teaching post is suitable for ECTs and also more experienced colleagues.

We are passionate subject specialists with a love of teaching young people. We are ambitious for ourselves and our students. The sharing of good practice, ideas and resources is embedded into our culture. We are keen to refine what works and to change what doesn’t. A love of languages, of teaching and learning are at the heart of who we are and what we do.

In short, we are a popular, high performing school with academy status, situated between Warwick and Leamington Spa with a strong community spirit. Our staff offer students a massive range of extra-curricular opportunities in addition to a wide curriculum and we would be delighted to expand this further if you have additional time and talents to share.

You will have access to a range of personal and professional development opportunities plus Westfield Health benefits and Staff Wellbeing initiatives to support you along the way.

We encourage applications from ECTs looking to secure a role after training and we can provide outstanding induction and support from our strong team of mentors and our well established training programmes.

If you feel you share our values, have the vision and drive for excellence and want to be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team, committed to ensuring that students fulfil their potential, then we would like to hear from you.

We are part of Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust, led by Southam College (an Ofsted Outstanding school). This has enhanced our ability to offer inspirational and supportive leadership and CPD for all of our staff.

All applications are via our online platform and can be found on the Vacancies section of the Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust website www.stowevalleymat.com. Visits to the school are welcomed.

Please note that strong applications may be considered upon receipt.

The school is an Equal Opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. It expects all staff to share this commitment. The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.

Myton School is a larger than average, popular, co-educational school where students of all abilities, aptitudes and social backgrounds thrive and achieve.

We are part of Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust. Founded in 2017 this Trust consists of eight primary schools, four secondary schools and one all through school. The Trust currently employs 900 staff and educates over 7000 children across its schools throughout Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.

Myton School’s community is based upon high expectations of learning and behaviour which are underpinned by our pastoral systems, ensuring all students are individually known and supported. We believe that all students should be equally valued in school and we pride ourselves on creating an atmosphere where every student can flourish.

Support for new colleagues within the Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust is excellent. There is a well-established induction programme and the Trust is highly committed to the ongoing professional development of all staff. We support and value one another in contributing to a culture which is always seeking new ways to improve and develop.

"We aim to create an environment where our staff feel supported and challenged and where they can thrive as highly skilled practitioners. We value the contribution of every colleague and aim to develop a sense of professional curiosity which will allow them to develop their practice and excel. We also support our staff on a personal level by providing an extensive package of wellbeing resources." Ranjit Samra, Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust CEO

We have a well-equipped school site with separate purpose-built facilities for PE, Design and Technology, Science and English. Our extensive playing fields include two full-size football pitches, a floodlit astro-turf pitch and the John Atkinson Sports Hall.

Warwickshire is a wonderful place to live and work. The towns of Warwick and Leamington offer a great combination of green spaces, historical buildings, leisure facilities and a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants. There is a great local road network with the nearby M40 and A46, as well as a fast train link with Birmingham and London. In 2020 Leamington Spa was named by the Sunday Times as one of the best places to live in the UK due to its elegant architecture and cutting-edge technology.

Please explore our website – www.mytonschool.co.uk and Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust’s website – www.stowevalley.com– to gain a flavour of what it means to be part of the Myton School and Stowe Valley community. We sincerely hope that you will be inspired to apply to join us.
