Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages - French

Star International School Mirdif is a bespoke British Curriculum School situated in the Mirdif Community of Dubai offering EYFS, Primary and Secondary Education. We are looking to appoint an MFL who has the enthusiasm, commitment and energy needed to work in a rapidly growing and improving school. The role would be from January 2022. For the right candidate, this could be a Head of MFL role as we look to expand the department next academic year.

About The Post

Due to the continued expansion of the school, we require an MFL teacher of French to join our family at Star International School Mirdif.

We have a desire to also offer Spanish at KS3/KS4 level in the future so an ideal candidate would be able to offer this alongside French. However, a fully qualified IGCSE/GCSE teacher of French is the priority for January.

Alongside the day to day responsibilities of being a full-time classroom teacher you would be required to:

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant teaching qualification: minimum of a BEd or BA/BSc + PGCE/QTS
• Excellent working knowledge of the latest UK practice and the new National Curriculum of England 
• Minimum ability to teach French to IGCSE/A-Level
• Experience of teaching in a British school either internationally or in the UK
• Excellent communication and IT skills
• Familiarity with the national curriculum for England
• Availability to start January 2022

Desirable

• Ability to teach Spanish to KS3/KS4 level
• Currently located in the UAE available for January
