Job overview

We are looking to appoint a full-time outstanding Teacher of MFL who can inspire and excite students in their learning of Languages on a fixed-term basis from September 2022 (an earlier start may be possible) through to June 2023 to cover parental leave within the department.

You will be joining a well-resourced department that is driven in our focus on raising achievement and your primary subject will be French and subsidiary subject Spanish. The post offers outstanding opportunities for continuous personal and professional development for a highly motivated and ambitious teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an NQT or experienced teacher.  The person appointed would be supported by the Head of MFL and a team of specialist teachers.  

As well as our state-of-the-art facilities, and innovative teaching aids, we have an exciting programme of trips, visits, visitors and extra-curricular activities.  Cornwallis Academy value positive working relationships and seek individuals who will support this ethos. 

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status

• The ability to teach French and Spanish up to KS4

• Knowledge of the Languages curriculum 

• Recent and relevant teaching experience
