Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a committed, dynamic and enthusiastic linguist to join our successful MFL team, in delivering high quality French and Spanish, across years 7 - 11, within a strong and collaborative department

You will be responsible for planning and delivering the highest quality lessons and achieving excellent results for your students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn.  The role will provide the opportunity to help develop an engaging and challenging curriculum.  The applicant should have excellent subject knowledge and should be willing to be an integral part of the design and development of the MFL curriculum.

Perryfields High School is a thriving school located in Oldbury, Sandwell. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant difference to the life chances of our students. You will have an important role in building on the good standards already achieved at Perryfields. We are very proud of the achievements our students make academically and in many other spheres. We aspire to provide the very best educational opportunities and outcomes for all of our students. In January 2018 Ofsted acknowledged the progress we are making as a school by awarding us a ‘Good.’

Do you have a clear vision, moral purpose and possess the passion and drive to inspire our staff and students? Are you an excellent classroom teacher? Are you innovative and dynamic? Are you able to strategically lead and make a significant and sustained impact at a whole school level? Do you have the resilience, generosity of spirit and commitment to make a difference? If this is you, apply to join the staff at Perryfields - a passionate team of professionals. Our purpose is to inspire excellence in character and scholarship - the students and their families have bought into this vision and together we form a friendly and dedicated community.

This is an excellent opportunity for an NQT or a teacher in the early stages of their career.  All NQTs are supported by an extensive induction programme.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all members of staff to share this commitment.  The below documents must be read prior to applying for this role (available on the school website in the policies section) and will be factored into interviews:

Part One of Keeping Children Safe in Education (2016)

Safeguarding Policy and Child Protection Policy

Code of Conduct for Teaching and Support Staff

Enhanced DBS (with list checks) is required for this post.

Application forms and further details are available from the school on 0121 421 7979 or email Beverly.parker@perrys.org.uk
