Job overview

We wish to appoint a talented and inspirational Teacher of Languages from 1st September 2017. The successful candidate will be able to teach French to GCSE. The ability to offer either German or Spanish to at least Key Stage 3 would also be an advantage. Applications are equally welcomed from newly qualified or more experienced candidates.

Modern Languages are popular at Belvidere and we run GCSE courses in French, German and Spanish every year. We are looking for someone to join our hardworking and enthusiastic team of MFL teachers.

Belvidere School is a successful, oversubscribed 11-16 comprehensive school in the county town of Shrewsbury. Visitors often comment on the calm, positive working atmosphere in the school and exam results are excellent, with all student groups making strong progress. In 2013 Ofsted rated the school as “Outstanding” in all areas. In particular Ofsted noted the high staff morale, and staff turnover is traditionally very low at Belvidere.  For further information, please visit our website at www.belvidere.shropshire.sch.uk

Belvidere School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
