The Grammar School at Leeds has an exciting opportunity available in our primary school from January 2020 teaching our pupils from Year 3 to Year 6.
Our stunning purpose built primary school currently caters for boys and girls from 7-11 and on the same site as the senior school. With five classes in each year, GSAL Juniors is one of the largest of its kind (c. 400 pupils), yet we retain an intimate, supportive and caring environment, with the focus strongly upon academic excellence and high expectations for the progress of each child.
The curriculum of the junior school is both broad and demanding. The national curriculum is not slavishly followed but is incorporated into the school’s scheme of work. There is a wide range of extracurricular activities offered within the junior school, including music, sport and drama.
Our successful candidate will be able to lead the teaching of French to the key stage 2 children through excellent teaching resulting in first-class learning. They will be committed to the success of their pupils across the ability range and will demonstrate outstanding pastoral care.
In return we offer the chance to work in facilities unrivalled in the north of England, wonderful children and being part of a high achieving and professional team.
Interviews will be held on: Tuesday 1 October 2019
