For September 2023

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Music to join our successful Performing Arts department for September 2023 for 3-5 days a week. The Performing Arts are strong at Beths Grammar School and Music has close links with Drama. Music has an important place in both the curriculum and extra-curricular provision.


All students have a dedicated Music lesson each week in KS3. Music is offered at GCSE and A Level. There are currently classes in Year 10-13. The Music Technology Room boasts 18 multimedia computers and an interactive whiteboard. The second Music room has 17 keyboard positions and desks, which facilitate both performance and written work and an interactive whiteboard too. Also, a range of instruments are available for class teaching. We also have the benefit of a fully equipped recording studio. MuseScore 4, Sibelius Ultimate and Cubase 10 software are also available to support the students in their work, alongside a wide variety of other music technology resources.


This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher looking to join our vibrant outstanding Performing Arts department, with its proven track record of embracing innovative approaches to teaching and learning, for September 2023. This vacancy is advertised as 0.6 to 1.0 position.
