The Governors are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Performing Arts with a specialism in Music, who demonstrates an infectious passion for teaching their subject as well as supporting pupils to become the best version of themselves. We would welcome applications from experienced teachers or NQT's. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to teach from KS1 to KS4. This role is advertised on Part Time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for further developing the Music and Performing Arts provision at Tower College whilst overseeing the peripatetic music teachers. We are a growing school with lots of opportunity to develop professionally. You will contribute to music throughout the School and will participate in an extensive extracurricular music programme.
The Teacher of Performing Arts & Music will lead all elements of the provision of production of music in the school and be responsible for all school concerts and musical performances. The Teacher of Performing Arts & Music will define the quality and direction of music in this key position. The Teacher of Performing Arts & Music is expected to keep abreast of developments in the teaching and performance of Music and use will be made of any opportunities for interdepartmental initiatives and cooperation.
The standard of music in the senior School is extremely high and this post is a wonderful opportunity to develop the provision further and work with some very talented and dedicated pupils and staff.
