Job overview

 Teacher of Music

will be considered on a full time or part time basis

MPS/UPS

Ashmole Academy Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance.  The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.  The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from trustees, governors, parents and pupils.  We currently have approximately 1900 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 600. Our examination results are consistently high and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.

We require for September 2023, an inspiring and dynamic teacher of Music to join an enthusiastic and committed team. You will have the energy, enthusiasm and flexibility to enable all our students to achieve the highest possible standards.

Music is a thriving and well-resourced department. Our extra-curricular programme includes several bands, senior and beginner orchestras, 2 choirs and a song writing club. Pupils regularly perform in lunchtime concerts and there are opportunities to collaborate with the drama department as we provide music for the school production. GCSE (Edexcel) and A level (Eduqas) students enjoy the use of our music technology suite in which whole classes can use sequencing and notation software for their compositions. High quality music making is happening at all key stages, further enriched by those joining us as part of the music scholars' programme.

This post would be suitable for a newly qualified teacher (ECT).

Details of the post and school are available on our website www.ashmoleacademy.org or Click here
