Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) is one of the most successful state-funded, 14-19 academies in the country. We specialise in creative, digital and performing arts. Student results speak for themselves and are well above national average. Our intake is 100% selective, based on aptitude within the specialism rather than academic ability. As a result, we are unique in our admissions.
Located in the centre of Birmingham and within the hub of the digital and creative industries in the West Midlands, we benefit from superb facilities for academic, vocational and extra-curricular activities. We are part of the BOA Group, a trust which includes other subsidiaries including The Old Rep Theatre.
We are seeking to appoint a new Teacher of Music to teach on an oversubscribed pathway within the academy which has a reputation for outstanding results, high quality performances, exceptional teaching and learning and vocational links.
This role is suitable for NQTs and existing Music teachers. You will be ambitious and student focused with a commitment ensuring the best possible academic outcomes for our young people. You will be passionate about the arts and understand how they release the potential in young people and raise aspiration. This is a rare opportunity to teach Music in one of the country’s most successful vocational schools.
