Job overview

Teacher of Music 0.2fte

(Peripatetic Music Teacher)

MPS

Starcross Primary School

The Estuaries MAT, and children, staff and governors of Starcross Primary School are looking for a talented, caring, motivated and professional person to help us deliver Planning, Preparation and Assessment time with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children.

If you are an existing qualified teacher, or a peripatetic music teacher who has experience of teaching music to children, then we would love you to apply for this post. The successful candidate will teach classes of children on Tuesdays, withdrawing them to the hall to teach whole class music. This is to enable the teaching staff to receive their legal requirement of planning, preparation and assessment time.

We have a fantastic history at school of developing the children’s abilities in all areas, and we have a wonderful tradition of music development at school. A tradition that we would love you to continue for us.

This will be a permanent, part-time contract, and the successful candidate will be paid on the main scale, negotiable according to experience.

We are a caring, friendly, approachable school in the heart of the community, who live by our school motto, “Love School, Love Life.”

Please see the job description and person specification for further details regarding this post.

This post would be suitable for both established teachers, and also newly qualified teachers.

If you like what you see and read and believe that you can support us in continuing to achieve great things here at Starcross Primary School, then do get in touch. We would welcome your support and involvement as we dare to Imagine What’s Possible...
