Required for 1st January, as a permanent member of staff.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic teacher of music to join our excellent music department. Music is a very popular subject and there is considerable interest in peripatetic music lessons and extracurricular music activities; due to demand, both GCSE and A level music have recently been introduced to the school’s curriculum offer.
This is a brilliant time to be joining our excellent school and we welcome applications from candidates who have an absolute commitment and passion for the profession, especially applications from Early Career Teachers and Recently Qualified Teachers of music. Applications from high-quality candidates who are not able to start in the role until 1st September, 2023 are also welcome.
The school is located on the fringe of the Lake District National Park; a great place to live and work.

Netherhall School is a grant maintained, Local Authority, mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with a sixth form, situated in Maryport, Cumbria. The school achieved its first ever rating of ‘Good’ from Ofsted in 2018, was named Cumbrian Secondary School of the Year later the same year, is host to the Cumbrian Secondary School Teacher of the Year and Cumbrian Secondary School Student of the Year. The school has a rapidly rising intake and the sixth form has over doubled in size in the past few years, with 720 students of age 11-18 currently on roll.
