Ousedale School is a very successful two campus academy with an outstanding track record of results at both GCSE and A Level. We have been in the top 2% in the country for our A Level results for the past 10 years. At GCSE our results over the last year have been consistently outstanding, particularly in the core areas.
We require, for September 2018, a well-qualified and enthusiastic colleague, to join our high performing, successful and well-resourced Music Department based at our Newport Pagnell campus. Applications from colleagues new to the profession are most welcome. We can offer this role on a full-time or part-time basis.
Music is a hugely important part of the life of the school and 36 students a year are selected out of catchment for aptitude to Music. Concerts are organised throughout the year which showcase the vast array of talent within the school. Orchestras, bands, choirs and solo performers are all encouraged. The Christmas concert in a local church is a traditional feature of the department calendar. Furthermore, the school holds a biennial musical theatre production which, in the past, has included Miss Saigon and Les Misérables.

About Ousedale School
Ousedale School is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school situated on two campuses in attractive grounds in Newport Pagnell and Olney, to the north of Milton Keynes. We serve a partially rural catchment area. There are 2000 pupils on roll, including a Sixth Form of 400. Newport Pagnell campus accommodates 1600 11-18 pupils and Olney campus 600 11-16 pupils. Sixth Form courses for pupils from both campuses are based at Newport Pagnell.

We have received a number of national awards not only for our academic success, but also for our success in the field of music education. Recent honours include 4 national awards for progress and attainment at GCSE and A level, placing our results in the top 20% of schools nationally, and a local award for achieving the best results for disadvantaged children in Milton Keynes. Additionally, the school’s Sixth Form regularly achieves the highest proportion of the top A*/B grades in the region. We endeavour to remain in the top 20% of school’s nationally in everything we do.
