Westminster City School is a successful 11-18 Christian non-denominational comprehensive academy for boys with a mixed sixth form. You like us, will share our belief in the highest standards of academic attainment in a comprehensive setting. We are looking for a creative and confident music teacher. You will be a proficient musician in at least one instrument. You will be required to teach a variety of key stages and abilities. There is a possibility of peripatetic teaching hours for an additional remuneration. This role is part time, 0.5 of a full time equivalent.
The music department is at the heart of the schools' enrichment activities with many extra-curricular opportunities. We have an emphasis on high quality extra-curricular music teaching and an extensive music instrument programme which is open to all. We have a vibrant range of music ensembles including an established choir and orchestra.
You will have a track record of delivering consistently good and often outstanding lessons. You will be joining a highly successful department which achieved 100% A*-B at GCSE Music and 100% passed BTEC Level 2 Performing Arts.
We believe in developing our staff and have a dynamic and supportive management team and an effective CPD programme which includes a regular teaching and learning forum. We welcome applications from experienced teachers or NQTs.
