Job overview

Teacher of Music – full / part-time

Required for September 2019

This is an extremely exciting role, which seeks to build on the outstanding reputation for Music and the Performing Arts at Halliford School. The school has state-of-the art music facilities in a purpose built music school. The post of Teacher of Music seeks to strengthen the teaching and delivery of musical opportunities throughout the school. The successful post holder will work closely with the newly appointed Director of Music to inspire all students to develop a love of music.

The position is offered with the possibility of part-time or full-time, depending upon the successful applicant’s availability. A full-time role would see the applicant involved in possibly teaching some individual music lessons as part of the requirements of the job.

We are looking for a well-qualified, talented and energetic individual to help lead the musical life of the School. Halliford is a thriving School with a particularly friendly and supportive staff and pupil community.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the School’s extensive pastoral and extra-curricular programme. This post would be suitable for an NQT or a more experienced teacher.

For further details of the post, school and application procedure, please visit our website; www.hallifordschool.co.uk  or contact the Headmaster’s PA on 01932 234925 or email: head.pa@hallifordschool.co.uk

Benefits include free lunch, use of on-site facilities such as fitness suite and small gym, and fee discounts available following a successful probation.

Completed application forms, together with a supporting letter of application (no more than one side of A4) should be e-mailed to the Headmaster’s PA to arrive no later than 12 noon on Monday 18th March. However, please feel free to apply as soon as possible as applications will be considered upon receipt. We reserve the right to interview / appoint before the closing date.

Halliford School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff, volunteers and visitors to share our commitment. We are an equal opportunities employer and the successful candidate will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
