Job overview

St Andrew’s is looking to appoint an outstanding and passionate Music teacher to join our excellent Performing Arts department which is growing due to the popularity of Music and Drama with our students.   You would be joining a team with four other Performing Arts teachers at an exciting time in the department’s development.  Music plays a key role in the school and the extra-curricular programme and concerts are popular and a cornerstone of St Andrew’s ensuring we provide a full and well-rounded educational experience for all our students. If you are looking for a supportive environment and the opportunity to work with outstanding colleagues this is the job for you.  This role would suit an NQT where you would be joining a great team who would provide you with the support you need in your first few years of teaching or a more experienced teacher who would like to play an important role in helping our Music and Performing Arts Department develop further.

The school’s promotion of pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is highly effective, and pupils are very well prepared for the next stage of their education and for work. The quality of teaching, especially teachers’ use of assessment, has improved considerably since the last inspection, and is now outstanding.
