Inspire Trust is a Multi Academy Trust based in Rotherham which includes Oakwood High School, Sitwell Junior School and Thomas Rotherham College.

Music Technology sits within the Faculty of Visual & Performing Arts and Media which has some of the best results and most innovative teaching in the college.

Due to the current post-holder taking a sabbatical to work in the music industry, an opportunity has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic and high-quality teacher/ technician to the department, capable of teaching across a range of subjects and, specifically, the ability to teach A Level Music Technology.

*The current post is full-time and there are two elements to the role. 0.4 of the role is a teaching role (paid on the Teachers’ Main pay Scale (MPS 1-6 & UPS depending on experience) while the remaining 0.6 is paid on a support staff scale (Inspire Band D).

Based at our Thomas Rotherham College site, the successful candidate will be student focused and will contribute to the continuing development of high-quality provision that requires an individual approach to each student’s support needs and individual learning plan.

Candidates must be educated to degree level and hold a PGCE/PGCE Post 16 with QTS or another appropriate and equivalent teaching qualification. Candidates must also be able to evidence successful teaching experience with 16-18 learners, including the delivery of a range of Level 3 courses.
