Job overview

Required for January is an inspiring and outstanding full time (or substantial part time) teacher of music. 

Music is an extremely popular and successful subject in the school. We have thriving GCSE and A level groups (including A- level Music and Music Technology) and an extensive and celebrated extra-curricular programme. The department is extremely well resourced, and we are committed to innovation, team work and pursuit of the highest standards for our students.

The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner in the classroom and in extra-curricular activities, with the ability to inspire and motivate students. Proven excellence in conducting school choirs and/or bands and some knowledge of music technology would be an advantage. 

This post would suit either an experienced teacher or a new entrant to the profession (colleagues find SHSB very supportive for professional development).
