Sandroyd School is seeking to appoint for January 2020 a dynamic Teacher of Music. The successful candidate will have the ability to drive forward all aspects of academic teaching of music at Sandroyd. He/she will build on the strategic vision to ensure the continuous improvement and development of the music provision of Sandroyd.
The Teacher of Music will work alongside the Head of Instrumental Music to ensure an outstanding provision of music for all children in the prep school and pre prep. The successful candidate will be expected to assist in the organisation of concerts and drama productions, but the line management of these roles is with the Head of Instrumental Music. Applicants should have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour, excellent organisational and time-management skills. Ideally applicants should be able to contribute to the full life of a boarding school and although not a requirement, it would be advantageous to be able to coach games.

About Sandroyd School
Sandroyd School is a co-educational preparatory school for both day and boarding pupils aged 2-13. It is located in 60 acres of fields, woods, and parkland near the village of Tollard Royal in Wiltshire. The pupil roll is around 230.
Sandroyd Pre-Prep was purpose-built in 2004 in the original walled garden and is home to boys and girls aged 2-7.
Sandroyd School takes its name from Sandroyd House, the home of the Reverend L H Wellesley Wesle, in Cobham, Surrey. In 1888, he created a small coaching establishment for the sons of his friends who were due to go to Eton. Over the years, the school grew rapidly, changing its premises to its current location Rushmore House. The school is a charitable trust and is administered by its board of governors.
