Teacher of PE and KS3 Maths

Co-op Academy ManchesterManchester

Due to the growing popularity of the academy and a rapid growth in student numbers, we are seeking to appoint a committed and dynamic teacher of Maths and PE to join our team from Easter / September 2021.

The Co-op Academy of Manchester opened in September 2010 in a new build and is sponsored by the Co-op Group, which is one of Manchester’s largest businesses. The culture of the Academy has a strong ethical stance, using the Co-op’s values and principles to inspire individuals in the academy to develop as global citizens.

Being part of a multi-academy Trust, sponsored by The Coop Group, we mirror their values in everyday academy life. The academy is in the top 1% of all schools nationally with its excellent attendance of over 97%. Our most recent OFSTED inspection (February 2018) saw the academy judged as ‘Good’ with many outstanding features. 2019 saw record results across the academy, with English Language gaining over 70% Grade 4 and above, and English Literature achieving over 80%. This is an exciting time to join us: due to the academy’s reputation in the area there are plenty of opportunities for progression for the right candidate.

A competitive salary will be offered if the successful applicant can show:

A commitment to the values and beliefs of fairness, ambition and respect

He/she is a good classroom practitioner and able to motivate, engage and inspire students.

A strong commitment to the students and raising standards

An interest in career progression

We would welcome applications from PGCE Students.

The successful candidate will have a PE timetable and KS3 Maths lessons within it.
