Are you passionate about ensuring that students from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to a life-changing Quality of Education?

Do you have the experience, skills, insights and determination to help lead the school from good to outstanding alongside an inspirational and values-driven Middle and Senior Leadership Team?

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic PE teacher who can deliver an excellent standard of education within the PE department. You will be joining a highly successful PE Department that gains strong examination results at both GCSE and at KS5. We are looking for someone who believes in building strong relationships with our students and who is willing to go above and beyond to support them in being successful and helping them to realise their God-given potential. About us

St Mark's was inspected by Ofsted in March 2023. The Academy performed exceptionally well in all areas, with particular reference made to expert curriculum design, transformational teaching and learning underpinned by the highest expectations, the extra-curricular offer and staff and pupil wellbeing.

The report states, “there is enough evidence of improved performance to suggest that the school could be judged outstanding if we were to carry out a graded (section 5) inspection now.”

This could not be a more exciting time to join the St Mark's family. Outcomes at the Academy at both Key Stage 4 and 5 are in the top 10% of all schools nationally. In 2022, an impressive 58% of all A Levels were awarded A*-B grades and the Progress 8 Score was +0.59 to ALPs Grade 2.

St Mark’s is proud to be one of twelve nationally appointed coaching hub schools. This involves us working in collaboration with Steplab to drive instructional coaching as a model for teacher development. Colleagues applying will benefit from this transformational CPD offer.

St Mark’s Church of England Academy is part of Anthem Schools Trust, a multi-academy trust serving over 8,000 children and young people across 16 schools in the East Midland, Thames Valley and London area.

If you have the skills and enthusiasm to make a significant contribution to our inclusive Christian community, then we would love to hear from you.

It is highly enriching and supportive and focuses on ‘values in action’. Pupils are confident, thoughtful and articulate.’ (Ofsted 2017)

Our vision at St Mark’s is to raise the achievement and life chances of our students and to serve our community by providing access to a range of activities, first class resources and opportunities. We are inclusive of all faiths, as well as none, and support unity between different religions, cultures and beliefs.

All our students are individuals and every student is valued for their uniqueness and the skills and aptitudes they bring to the Academy. A key strength of St Mark's is the very aptitudes they bring to the Academy.
