Job overview

Menorah Grammar School is looking for a talented and inspiring Teacher of PE to join the team as part of the school’s journey to improve and embed a culture which fosters a love of learning. The school is an independent orthodox Jewish boys community school, teaching not just a secular curriculum but also a Jewish curriculum; we are very much an extension to the families in the community we serve. We have undergone ‘a wholesale transformational change’ (Ofsted, March 2021) taking great strides forward since our previous inspection in March 2020, resulting in Ofsted finding all of the Independent School Standards now met.

We are extremely interested to hear from outstanding teachers who are ready to take on the challenge to join with our new Headteacher in September 2021 and the leadership team to continue the school’s journey of improvement. We are looking for a dynamic teacher who is a team player and someone who is willing to go ‘above and beyond’ to ensure that every pupil has the opportunity to thrive at our school.

We expect our staff to model and support strategies that promote the Jewish culture which makes our school special but also to continue to inspire the pupils to the highest standards of academic achievement, pastoral care and behaviour for learning.

This is a key role, open to an Early Career Teacher or an experienced teacher, and the successful candidate will have a real opportunity to make a difference to the life chances of our pupils. Applications from teachers of faith or non-faith backgrounds are most welcome.
