Job overview

We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic female teacher of PE to join our highly successful PE department. This post could suit an ECT as well as a more experienced candidate.

We are seeking to recruit a Teacher of PE to: -

  • Provide high quality teaching and learning through successful planning, teaching and classroom management relating to the PE curriculum and working as part of a team to enable the school to meet its targets for improvement and success

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • A passion for PE and a desire to develop this in others
  • An eagerness to advance your own teaching skills and develop professionally as well as being keen to share ideas with your colleagues within a dedicated team
  • Experience of teaching to KS3 and KS4
  • Evidence of good/ outstanding classroom practice
  • Ability to take the initiative, lead, motivate, inspire and support students to achieve excellence
  • A willingness to contribute more widely to the extra-curricular life of the school


We provide students with a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities and are very proud of our sporting success, winning over 50 District titles every year. We also compete in County Cup competitions

The school places high importance on continuing professional development in all areas of school life and as a result ECTs are well supported by the department and the school as a whole.
