Job overview

Opportunity for an inspirational, enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of PE to join an award-winning school in Fulham, with fantastic facilities for sport and PE. With the recent completion of new, ground-breaking facilities, it is a particularly exciting time to join the School.

As Teacher of PE, you will play a key role delivering challenging and well-organised lessons, teaching with expertise and enthusiasm and using an appropriate range of strategies and resources. The role also includes supporting teams and matches after school.

At Kensington Prep, we make sport fun, catering for both the budding sportswoman and the more sports shy, helping all girls to stay fit and healthy. In the early years, girls have three PE lessons a week with gym, dance, games, athletics and tennis skills and there are swimming lessons from Year 2 at Fulham Pools. From Year 3, the girls have two one-hour PE lessons a week in addition to swimming, and learn games including netball, uni hockey, football, tag rugby, pop lacrosse, rounders, cricket, tennis, softball, gym, dance, athletics and cross country.

Facilities at the School are excellent, with two floodlit, all weather, Netball and Tennis courts, a gym and a Dance/Drama studio.

If you share our enthusiasm for sport and PE and have considerable experience we would be delighted to hear from you.

In return, you will be supported in a highly professional environment led by a friendly leadership team. We are the highest rated GDST school in a recent Best Companies employee survey and the GDST is in the top 100 best not-for-profit companies to work for. We offer competitive salary scales, excellent conditions of service and career development opportunities.
