Teacher of PE

Alderwood School has an exciting position to start in September 2023 teaching PE.

We are looking for candidates that are willing to jump straight into the job and to work alongside an enthusiastic team to develop and encourage learning. We are an all through, 4-16 school and this vacancy is for a teacher who will be based at our senior site but may have the opportunity for professional development at our other sites.

This position would suit an ECT or someone with more experience. A start date of 1st July is available for ECTs.

You will need to have or be willing to develop knowledge of the relevant subject matter as well as the techniques required to manage behaviour, not to mention the creative and fun elements involved with teaching in the classroom.

The person appointed will:

·    Challenge and inspire our pupils

·    Have a passion for sport and an understanding of how best to develop each pupil's potential

·    Contribute to the wider life of the school

·    Have a high level of knowledge across a wide range of sporting activities
