St. Anne’s School are looking to appoint with effect from 31st October 2022 (or sooner) an experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic and well-qualified, specialist graduate teacher with the vision and energy to deliver and model high standards of teaching and learning in the area of PE/Humanities, and to make a full contribution to the ethos, identity and life of the School.

The person appointed will be employed by the States of Guernsey and will be based at St.Anne’s School. They will be required to maximise opportunities for collaborative working, teaching and learning across key stages and shared professional development across schools. There is an expectation that they will engage in cross-school initiatives which may require working on more than one site to meet the needs of the Education Service.

The post holder will be required to teach throughout Key Stages 1, 2, 3&4 and will be required to work with teachers in the primary phase to ensure continuity of provision and a smooth transition from KS2 to KS3. You will be able to excite and challenge young people and will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning. You are also expected to have excellent communication and management skills, a strong commitment to team work and the ability to maintain productive relationships with staff and young people. We are looking for someone who is passionate about raising learners’ individual achievements and you will have a proven track record in equipping learners to make excellent progress, and the determination to make a difference to the lives of young people.

The post provides an ideal opportunity to play a prominent role in middle leadership. The candidate would have opportunity to lead initiatives that will contribute to the strengthening sports partcipation on the island. To be involved in department reviews and take part in professional feedback.

  • Confirmation of required qualifications / registrations
  • Possession of a valid Employment Permit
