Job overview

We are pleased to welcome applications from professional and passionate individuals to join our highly motivated and very successful PE department.

The ideal candidate will have specialisms in football and cricket, with a passion to continue the development of these two sports at our school. Experience of coaching these two sports to girls would be preferable. They must be able to deliver high quality theory and practical lessons for students from KS3 though to GCSE PE and A Level PE. PE and sport are extremely popular subjects at our school with a large uptake at KS4 and KS5. This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified PE teacher to contribute to the successful of our PE department in ensuring good social emotional and physical development, modelling a healthy education and lifestyle for our students. 

We also run an extensive extra-curricular programme offering opportunities for all our students and a commitment to this is an essential requirement. As stated, we are ideally looking for someone who has a passion for football or cricket but are very happy to consider applications from individuals who have a passion for other disciplines. Our school teams excel at district, county and national level in a variety of sports, as well as many individual students competing at county, national and international level across various disciplines.

Depending on the suitability of the applicant, we may offer a temporary contract, this will be discussed at interview.

“Students feel safe and happy at school. The school’s care and support for their personal development are outstanding. New students in Years 7 and 12 settle in very quickly. Teachers have superb subject knowledge and often use this to make lessons intellectually challenging and stimulating. Students work hard and conscientiously. They are attentive, interested and learn well. The sixth form is good. The number of students moving on to prestigious universities has increased in the last few years.”
