Job overview

We are looking for a dedicated Teacher of PE to join an experienced and committed department in this primarily boys school.

The school has an excellent reputation for providing opportunities and experiences for students to develop and achieve their potential through a variety of sports. We are looking for a teacher who can use their knowledge and experience to inspire and encourage our students, both in timetabled lessons and through commitment to the department’s extensive extra-curricular programme.

The successful candidate will teach PE and Games across all secondary key stages and must have previous experience of teaching GCSE PE. Suitable candidates will have the knowledge and ability to teach A level PE and although prior experience of this would be an advantage it is not an essential requirement.

Hutton has a long tradition of success, a strong reputation, and is regularly oversubscribed.

About Hutton Church Of England Grammar School

Hutton Church of England Grammar School is based in Hutton, Preston, in Lancashire. The school, which opened in 1552 is a religious establishment that is a part of the Church of England. It is boys only, voluntary aided, secondary school with a sixth form. It educates boys between the ages of 11 and 18. At present, there are approximately 858 pupils enrolled at the school including 152 students on the roll in sixth form.
