An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The Manchester Creative & Media Academy as a Teacher of PE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working hard to secure the highest quality of standards and outcomes in all areas and will be joining a dynamic team. They will be a creative thinker with an ability and determination to contribute to the development of MCMA as a centre of excellence in their subject area in order to secure excellence for all.

You will be joining the Academy at a very exciting time. The Academy is the most improved school in Manchester 2014-16, with its ‘rapid and substantial improvement’ being noted by Inspectors and in 2016, the Academy achieved its best ever GSCE results. The Academy has been asked to increase its intake for 2017 and beyond and therefore requires additional staff to work with us at this exciting time.

MCMA is a large campus set in nine acres of urban woodland and the learning spaces incorporate state of the art ICT, media and performance spaces. Our facilities include: a 3G sports pitch, sports hall, extensive sports fields, tennis courts, dance studio and gymnasium. The department is well-resourced to develop students’ knowledge and skills. The extra-curricular offer is strong and pupils regularly benefit from additional cultural experiences. Successful partnerships and the outward facing nature of the academy have been both noted and praised, as has the academy’s strong CPD offer.

MCMA is part of the Co-operative Academies Trust. The Trust already sponsors eight successful academies in Leeds, Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent and has been ranked as one of the top performing multi academy trusts.
