We are currently looking for an exceptional Physical Education (PE) Teacher who is committed to driving up standards and ensuring every child is challenged to achieve their maximum potential.  You will be joining an Academy that has a strong, developing reputation for PE and sports and has had considerable investment in sporting facilities recently, to include a 3G pitch and Multi-Use Games Area.  This is in addition to the Academy being selected to deliver the city Table Tennis strategy through the development of the Plymouth East Hub site. With a dynamic and progressive curriculum at the heart of everything we do, we have very high levels of participation in a range of sports and activities alongside a strong extra-curricular provision.

The successful candidate will be able to motivate and inspire all students, particularly girls, within the Academy and have a proven track record of success with examination PE groups at both KS4 and 5.

“I am proud to be Principal of Plympton Academy. Proud of our students and proud of our staff. The school is an exciting place to learn and to work.

We want all students to share that pride – in themselves, and in their school – so that they can learn well and make outstanding progress. I know that all parents want the very best for their children. This is why we have the highest expectations of our students. We expect them to be outstanding, resilient learners and we expect them to behave well in all aspects of school life.

We are passionate about nurturing exceptional, resilient, independent thinkers who are happy and confident individuals, equipped with the skills and knowledge to be the best they are.

Our students are involved in every aspect of school life beyond the classroom: extra-curricular activities are always available and our students play an active role in shaping the future of the school through a wide range of student leadership activities. We aim to ensure that the opportunities that life presents are open to all of our students, whatever their destination. We aim to inspire success.
