An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational, enthusiastic and talented teacher to join the PE Department from September 2025. Applications from both experienced teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers due to qualify summer 2025 are encouraged and an excellent ECT package would be available if appropriate.

The PE Department at Priory is a successful team of 5 led by an experienced Curriculum Leader focused on fostering competitive sport and participation. We deliver a full PE core curriculum to year 7-11, and offer our KS4 students BTEC sport. In addition to this there are various after school sports activities that we encourage students to participate in.

The PE team is dedicated to supporting each other and our students to enable them to thrive, develop and succeed. The department benefits from extensive facilities, close links with other Trust and local schools, and a dedicated high quality CPD programme.

We are looking for someone who:

●          Has a passion for PE and the positive impact this subject can have on young people

●          Has the ability to plan and deliver high quality lessons

●          Is skilled at fostering independent and collaborative student-led learning

Priory School

Priory School has been proudly serving its local community for over 100 years. It is a comprehensive school of over 1200 students.

In 2014 the school joined the Bohunt Education Trust (BET) and in 2022 secured the best results in the history of the school.

GCSE results are enormously important but they are not the only thing that characterises Priory School. Our students raise money for charity, excel on the sporting field, perform with distinction in school productions, dance shows and musical recitals and they enjoy numerous trips and visits that culminated in the first expedition to Iceland in the summer of 2016.
