Job overview

Do you want to make a difference in the way we educate children?

If you answered yes, we want to we want to work with you on your journey – whether you’re already a great teacher or want to be one.

We've been discovering how much teachers and students are truly capable of when exploring the unknown together. When you give kids real tools and tough problems, they engage and invest and learn deeply.

But, how can we ask our students to take risks, be creative and make mistakes if we as educators are afraid to do the same? Our goal at the Livingstone Academy Bournemouth (LAB) is to have the courage to innovate, create and fail forward.

LAB endeavours to cultivate that authentic engagement in an all-through academy. Transdisciplinary study is structured through a cycle of exploration, expression, and exposition to provide deep learning. Educators come to school every morning ready to work alongside their peers and students to co-create original learning experiences that are responsive and relevant.

LAB seeks to be at the forefront of learner-driven education, and we continue to push the envelope of what is possible in education. We trust that children are instinctual learners, and we value partnering with them on their educational path.  To be here, is to work side by side lovingly and in full support of the children who populate this place with their dreams, attempts and ideas. We ask teachers to think big, improvise and learn alongside students. By taking the best practices from early childhood education and  project-based, experiential learning, we strive to meet students' needs in a flexible, mixed-age environment that breaks the traditional walls between school and the community outside the classroom.
