Job overview

Our School:

Trinity School is a dynamic, forward thinking and oversubscribed mixed Church of England learning community for

pupils aged 11-18. Teaching is motivating and fun, and learning opportunities are not confined to the classroom; we offer a range of educational opportunities for all our pupils. We seek to challenge our pupils’ perceptions and aim to equip them with the skills to be independent and resilient learners. The school is a member of the Trinitas Academy Trust, a collaboration of one secondary school and five primary schools.

Your new role:

You will be an experienced or Newly Qualified Teacher of PE who can plan, teach, and assess their specialism from KS3 to KS4, and potentially at KS5. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective teaching and learning of pupils, instilling in them a love of PE and healthy pursuits. You will be keen to engage in the wide range of extra-curricular activities offered within the department and across the wider school community. The school is looking for an exceptional teacher who can create a supportive, encouraging and safe learning environment for all pupils.

What you will need to succeed:

You will need to exhibit a passion for PE and radiate creativity and enthusiasm in the classroom and beyond. You will have high expectations of yourself and the pupils, and demonstrate a flexible approach to working with other members of staff. You will be committed to improving the learning outcomes for all pupils in the school and sustaining our commitment to providing opportunities for all pupils to progress and excel.

Trinity School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and all staff and volunteers are expected to share that commitment. Please note that the successful applicant will require an enhanced DBS check.
