The Physical Education Department currently comprises 3 full time specialists, 3 part time specialists and one specialist support assistant. We have a strong team ethos and pride ourselves on our consistency of approach and sharing good practice to ensure the progress of the students. We are therefore, looking for a subject specialist who enjoys being part of a team and is enthusiastic about developing Physical Education in our school.

We have over 1000 students on roll and a talented, skilful staff who benefit from excellent support from the governing body and school leaders. CPD is central to our belief that staff should be constantly nurtured to be the best they can be. Our finances are in an excellent position.

Our facilities are excellent and expanding. These include a lecture theatre, 3G pitch, MUGA and recent additions of a dance studio and gym. These have allowed us to run staff well-being classes in yoga and fitness. A new suite of classrooms will be opening this year. Students are also provided with a wide range of enrichment opportunities and our curriculum ensures that the arts are well represented with Music, Drama and Art embedded in our offer.

I was appointed Head in September of 2023 and what attracted me most to the school was the sense of community, the kindness and respect shown by adults and young people to each other and the ambition to give our young people a fully-rounded, holistic education. Every adult wants every child to thrive. John Colet is a very caring and happy place and I would encourage you to come and experience for yourself our welcoming, positive learning culture.

We look forward to hearing from you.
