If you are passionate about your subject, with the ability, desire and enthusiasm to deliver lessons to students who really want to learn, we would love to hear from you.

PRE is a very popular option at both KS4 and KS5. We currently teach around 75 students at KS4 and around 55 at KS5 and our commitment to academic excellence is at the forefront of our teaching and delivery.  In 2020, 100% of students sitting PRE GCSE achieved 9-4, with 17% of those students achieving grade 9.  At A level 88% of students achieved A*-C in Philosophy with 73% achieving A*-B  grades. Following on from these results, a number of students went on to study Philosophy at university. Experience of teaching A level and/or a desire to do so is advantageous.

The successful candidate will teach across the age and ability range in this oversubscribed co-educational academy, with over 1,400 students on roll including 290 in our 6th form.  You would be joining a supportive, committed and experienced team who work hard to deliver innovative and enjoyable lessons.   In return for your hard work and commitment we offer exceptional support and training, and the rewards that come with teaching PRE to students who really want to learn.

Our 6th Form value added score of +0.28 also puts us in the top 100 schools nationally.

Hinchley Wood School is a comprehensive coeducational secondary school based in Surrey, for students between the ages of 11 and 18. It gained academy status in 2012 and multi academy status in 2019 - Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership.  In October 2019 Hinchley Wood Primary School joined the Partnership.
