Teacher of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified PRE specialist to teach at all levels, up to & including A Level, within a dynamic, energetic department. The department is popular, examination results are excellent and the subject enjoys a good status within the school.  Applications are equally welcome from experienced or newly-qualified teachers. For a successful candidate with PGCE credits, we are able to support the completion of an MA. This is a full time position but part-time hours may be considered for suitably qualified candidates. Accommodation at a very competitive rate may be available. Our admissions policy prioritises children of staff.

Watford Grammar School for Boys is an academy with over 1400 students, including over 400 in the sixth form. From its origins as a charity school for 60 pupils founded by Dame Elizabeth Fuller in 1704, the boys’ school moved to its present site in 1912 and became an Academy in 2010. Located next to the centre of Watford, near Cassiobury Park, it comprises of a Grade II listed building, The Clarendon Muse, The James Theatre, a dedicated STEM Centre and extensive sports facilities.
