N.O.R. 1502 (304 in Sixth Form)
Required for October 2017 to September 2018
Teacher of PHSE: MPS with outer London allowance (Maternity cover)
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and well-qualified teacher of PHSE who also has the ability to teach some religious studies. All students in key stage 3 and 4 take PHSE and religious studies. The PHSE department was judged ‘good with many outstanding features’ in its last external review and is now focused on securing ‘outstanding’. The post would be suitable for an NQT or experienced teacher.
The PHSCE department is an outward facing department which offers many enrichment opportunities. For example, all students in Year 10 participate in the First Give philanthropy competition. The department has also represented the school at the BETT exhibition. The department is heavily involved in Initial Teacher Education – supporting all routes including School Direct.
Lampton School is a mixed, multi-ethnic 11-18 school that converted to Academy status in September 2010. We are a National Teaching School and a SCITT. Lampton School was judged as "outstanding" in all categories by Ofsted in May 2008 and again in May 2013. It was also featured in the Ofsted report 'Twelve outstanding secondary schools - Excelling against the odds'. The school is a lead member of Challenge Partners – a national collaborative network of over 300 schools committed to improving the quality of education across our network.
Lampton School actively encourages and supports the safeguarding and protection of all its pupils. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
