Job overview
- To actively support the teaching of PE across all age and ability ranges.
- To work within and contribute to established College department frameworks for lesson planning, delivery and evaluation.
- To consistently plan and deliver outstanding lessons, ensuring that a variety of teaching resources are utilised appropriately.
- To demonstrate good knowledge of a wide range of teaching methods and to exemplify these in the classroom.
- To ensure that students receive regular, effective feedback in accordance with the Academy department feedback policy.
- To actively support the positive behaviour for learning policies in lessons.
- To assist in the assessment process for PE and work with colleagues across the Academy to ensure this is effective and consistent.
- To keep up to date with current developments in the subject area, actively inputting to departmental review and INSET, and to initiate and support change where appropriate.
- To be fully committed to the College's enrichment activities.
- To possess excellent ICT skills.
- To provide accurate information for parents/ carers about student progress.
