We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, creative and forward thinking teacher to join our highly successful PE team. Deptford Green School provides a modern and spacious PE setting where all of our pupils have access to a wide and varied curriculum. We have the very best facilities to support teaching and learning which include a four court sports hall and a 4G, floodlit multi games pitch. Throughout the school year, we offer a wide range of sports including Handball, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball, Netball and Athletics to name but a few.

Our extra-curricular programme is equally fulfilling as we offer sports each day at lunch time and after school, allowing our students to develop their skills beyond the classroom. Over the years, we have celebrated mass participation and success in a range of sports, competing on a local and national scale. This is something we intend to develop further by focusing on female participation, we would certainly be looking to recruit high levels of enthusiasm and innovation in this area.

As pupils progress through KS3, GCSE becomes a popular option with over 100 pupils currently subscribed through years 9-11. Having recently introduced the new AQA specification, we are currently embedding the course content into our curriculum, continually developing our schemes of work. As a department we work hard, planning and developing new resources to support high quality teaching for our students.  Ultimately, our aim is to provide an enjoyable and engaging curriculum over 5 years, preparing pupils with the tools required to be successful at GCSE and beyond.
