The Governors are seeking to appoint an ambitious and dynamic full time Teacher of Physics. The successful candidate will join this key department, teaching across all key stages.  The post-holder will set high expectations for all pupils, deepening their knowledge and understanding and maximising achievement in this subject area.

The Science Department are committed to an ambitious and exciting curriculum from KS3 through to KS5.  We offer separate science pathways at KS4 as well as A-Level and Applied at post-16. 

We are rated as a ‘Good’ school by Ofsted (October 2021) and Outstanding in the Catholic Schools’ inspection carried out in April 2024.

Bellerive Catholic College is a popular and oversubscribed school. The latest OFSTED inspection, October 2021, graded Bellerive as Good. Located in a pleasant area of the city, adjacent to two parks, the college is a non selective school for girls, with boys admitted to the sixth form. The intake is from over 60 primary schools throughout the city and beyond.

The college has benefited from significant capital expenditure, including a new Sixth Form block and excellent new teaching facilities.  New science laboratories, ICT and Technology facilities opened in September 2017, together with a new Sports Hall.

The school performs above the national average in a number of measures.
