Teacher of Physics
Permanent from September 2021
An outstanding teacher of Physics is required for September 2021. The Department is very successful, and the School has a long-standing record of high academic achievement (92.5% of A Level and Pre U entries gained A* to B/D1-M1 grades in 2019). There is also much happening in terms of extra-curricular activities, and all staff are expected to be fully involved in School life.
The post will involve teaching Physics from Year 8 to Year 13 and some Lower School Science for Years 6 and 7. The post would be suitable for an NQT (we provide statutory induction) or a colleague with more experience.
CLS was named by the Sunday Times as London Independent Secondary School of the Year 2020, and occupies fine, modern buildings near St. Paul’s Cathedral overlooking the Thames, opposite the Tate Modern. There are impressive off-site sports facilities in south east London.
Salary will be paid on the CLS scale (£34,460 to £56,510 plus two progression points to £60,250 pa 2020-2021).
