We are looking for a Teacher of Post 16 to join our team at Underley Garden in Kirkby Lonsdale. 


About the School

The young people who attend Underley Garden all have an EHCP/statement of special educational needs. Underley meets the needs of a range of SEN including; Autism, Learning Difficulties, Mental Health & Medical needs and related behavioural difficulties.

About the Role

You will be delivering inclusive, responsive and innovative teaching and learning within the curriculum area of Vocational options.  You will constantly strive to produce outstanding/good teaching and learning at all times to ensure that all learners succeed. Under the reasonable direction of the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team, carry out the professional duties of a school teacher as set out in the current School policies.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire children with complex learning needs to offer and deliver a range of vocational options to our Post-16 students. This also includes delivering lessons on areas to prepare our young people for adulthood including their life skills, sport and leisure activities along with work experience opportunities.

We are looking for people with the belief that they can make positive changes.

You will be a responsible, friendly and thoughtful individual who has a passion for caring for and ultimately, making a difference to young lives.
