We wish to appoint an imaginative, qualified teacher to join our Primary Phase Team from September 2022.
The postholder will be responsible for teaching a KS2/KS1 class and have the determination to make a difference to the lives of all our children. You will be joining a team that enjoy working together to give each individual child the best possible experience of school life.
Prendergast Vale School is an all-through school for 3 to 16 year olds in the heart of Lewisham and benefits from being part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools. Our primary phase is one form entry and our ambition is to provide the best possible primary education in a stimulating and creative environment. We encourage children to develop a passion for learning, inspired by high-quality teaching and close nurturing.
Our school motto is “We are forever learning” and you will be expected to commit to your own professional development. We are committed to providing excellent CPD for Middle Leaders and offer the accredited National Award for Middle Leaders (NPQML) to all Middle Leaders. We offer a comprehensive and supportive induction programme for all new members of staff. You will also have access to a rich and varied CPD programme within the school and across the Federation.
You will have the opportunity to work with a forward thinking staff and school leadership team who ensure that the academic and social development of every student is at the heart of what they do.

Prendergast Vale is a small school within a big community. As a member of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools, we are stronger together. The Leathersellers’ Federation of schools is made up of a group of three secondary and two primary schools as well as Prendergast 6th Form. We are very fortunate to be part of the Federation and receive a lot of support from the Leathersellers’ Company, which helps our pupils succeed.
