The Professional Construction academy at Derby College is expanding! Due to substantial growth of courses and apprenticeships in this specialism, we now have exciting opportunities to become a teacher of Professional Construction. Supplementing this growth are new courses in BIM, a Level 2 Gateway to Professional Construction which both commence from September 2019 and the new Government T-Level in the Built Environment the following year.

We are looking for teachers who possess excellent vocational knowledge and experience of the latest construction technologies and hold a degree in Construction and the Built Environment or Civil Engineering. We are also happy to support candidates who are looking for their first opportunity in a teaching position if they have the right industry experience and qualifications and are willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
About Derby College
Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
