The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Humanities Team. We are looking for someone who can inspire with engagement in the classroom and capture the enthusiasm pupils have for learning Sociology and Psychology. The successful applicant will be highly motivated to inspire pupils at all levels from ages 16-18. 

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities to join our passionate, hard-working and friendly Humanities Faculty:

• ECT or Qualified Teacher Status

• A passion for excellence in the teaching of Sociology and Psychology

• The ability to maintain and raise standards of student attainment and achievement and to monitor and support student progress

• The ability to effectively lead, manage and motivate staff within the team and the capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues;

• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

St Alban’s Catholic High School strives to provide an excellent education for our students within a caring Christian community where all are respected, valued and supported to achieve their potential. Candidates need to be willing to support the Catholic ethos of the school and to develop an understanding of teaching in a Catholic setting; however, they do not need to be Catholic themselves.

About St Alban's Catholic High School

St Alban’s Catholic High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in Ipswich, Suffolk. It is the only Catholic High School in the Ipswich area and religious education forms part of the core curriculum. 

The School premises have been improved in recent years with the addition of a new sixth form block and library and the refurbishment of some existing facilities.
