Copthall School is looking to appoint an energetic and passionate Teacher of Psychology to join the school’s thriving Social Sciences Team.

Psychology is a popular subject at Copthall, attracting students of all abilities to study the subject at sixth form. The school is committed to supporting the subject to grow and develop both in the classroom and through the school’s wider enrichment offer.

The successful candidate will be a well-qualified and highly motivated Psychology specialist who is a strong team player and whose passion for Psychology and social sciences will inspire and engage our students. As a school we strive to deliver and broad and diverse curriculum. 

For the right candidate, additional leadership is available within the Social Science team.  

Copthall School is looking to appoint a teacher who:

  • will deliver a consistently high quality of teaching, learning and assessment across Key Stage 5
  • has a proven track record or the potential to secure excellent student outcomes in examinations
  • will champion our students to ensure that regardless of their starting point, they are able to make excellent progress
  • has a commitment to developing curriculum and enrichment activities within the Social Sciences department
  • Will raise the profile of Psychology across the school and the wider community

Copthall School prides itself on educating 21st century women for successful careers in STEM, human, social and health sciences, performing arts and creative industries. We have approximately 1000 students on role, 120 of which are enrolled in our thriving Sixth Form which is in the top 12% of schools for A Level results. We offer both A-Level and Vocational pathways and we boast an excellent success rate in University applications.

Situated in Mill Hill, Barnet we have fantastic outdoor space as well as access to sporting facilities at Allianz Park.
