Job overview

Teacher of Psychology (KS5)

(with ability to teach an additional Social Science subject) - from September 2021

We are looking to appoint an inspiring and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for Key Stage 5 Psychology and who has the ability to teach a second Social Science subject across KS4 and KS5.

We encourage applications from NQT’s seeking their first role within a supportive and creative team or an experienced teacher seeking a new role within a forward-thinking and expanding department focussed on collaboration.

With our recent Ofsted judgement for the Sixth Form as outstanding, it is a great time to be joining the teaching staff at Myton.  We invest in our staff through our established induction programme with CPD and Performance Management, which focusses on good teachers getting better.  All of these are key elements in ensuring we have a happy and well-supported team of staff, with great opportunities for you to develop your career further.

Myton is a very popular, high performing school with academy status, situated between Warwick and Leamington Spa.  As a happy and purposeful community, with enduring values of care and mutual respect, we offer students an exciting curriculum and a huge range of extra-curricular opportunities within a safe, secure and supportive environment. You would be joining staff delivering large and popular Key Stage 5 courses as we actively seek to grow our sixth form further.  Psychology continues to be one of the larger Sixth Form courses we run.   Since its introduction in 2019, Criminology has proven particularly popular with students’ choices alongside Sociology.
