We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual for the subject of Psychology and who can inspire students to achieve their aspirations. In the role you would be focusing on our Year 1 students in A Level Psychology. Our social science department is very well resourced with vast experience in the different courses bringing extensive knowledge and depth. The Area Lead is a specialist in psychology and would be happy to support and mentor.
As a Teacher of A Level Psychology, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of the course. You will provide a high-quality and relevant learning experience for all students, offering them the opportunity to achieve their academic potential. Your knowledge will be essential in effectively preparing students for exams, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to contribute to the teaching of other subject areas, depending on your degree or experience, further enriching the educational environment.

John Leggott College is a mixed, selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. It is a 16-plus institution based on a single modern campus close to the town centre, with good access to surrounding rural areas. There are around 1,700 learners at the college, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.
The college was founded in 1958 as John Leggott Grammar School. The sixth form was established in 1968 in the midst of a Scunthorpe education reorganisation.
